Nandalal Borgohain City College, Dibrugarh is a co-educational institution of Higher Education which was established in August, 1992 as Dibrugarh City College. The college was renamed as Nandalal Borgohain City College, Dibrugarh in 2008 in honour to its founder, a renowned educationalist, Late Nandalal Borgohain. This Non-Government Public College situated in the South -Western outskirts of Dibrugarh Town at Nirmali Gaon. It caters to the educational needs of the poor and backward population of Assam.
The College is an affiliated institution under the Dibrugarh University. The college was awarded “B” Grade by NAAC with the Institutional score 73.00 with effect from 23rd November, 2005. It offers Higher Secondary and Degree Programmes of Arts stream. The college is an affiliated of Arts Stream. Although the college is basically a Arts Stream college it offers Commerce in H.S. level and B.Com and M.Com facilities under the partner institute of IGNOU. Recently the college has started the Three Year Degree course (Arts) under the Directorate of Distance education, Dibrugarh University. The college has also been offering Diploma Course in Computer Education and certificate course in Electrician, Motor-Mechanic, Diesel Mechanic, Draughtsman, Welder, Fitter, Radio & T.V. Technician under ITI Department. The college has also been playing a significant role to fulfil the educational needs of all including house-wives, working adults, drop-outs and learners from economically backward section of the society who desires to be educated or improve his or her thirst for knowledge, with the help of the IGNOU Partner Institute and Krishna Kanta Handiqui Sate Open University study centre, Nandalal Borgohain City College, Dibrugarh.
